1. The Agreement

The agreement consists of these terms of sale, information provided in the ordering solution, and any specifically agreed-upon terms. In case of conflict, specifically agreed-upon terms shall take precedence, as long as this does not conflict with mandatory legislation.

The purchase is governed by Norwegian law, including the Consumer Purchases Act, the Right of Withdrawal Act, and the E-commerce Act.

2. The Parties

Seller:
Norvelo AS
(Email, address, and phone number are provided on the website)
Organization number: [Fill in]

The buyer is the consumer who places the order.

3. Price

All prices are quoted in NOK and include value-added tax (VAT). The total price is shown before payment and includes all known costs.

4. Conclusion of Agreement

The agreement is binding when the order has been sent by the buyer and payment has been completed.

The seller reserves the right to cancel orders in the event of obvious errors in price, stock status, or information.

5. Payment

The following payment methods are offered:

  • Visa / Mastercard
  • Vipps
  • Klarna

All payments are made upon ordering. The order is binding once payment has been completed.

Custom-built bicycles (made-to-order purchases)

Complete bicycles are built to order and are considered made-to-order purchases.

For such orders, full prepayment (100% of the purchase price) is required upon ordering.

Production and preparation commence after confirmed payment.

Other goods

For other goods (framesets, parts, and accessories), the same principle applies:

Full payment is made upon ordering.

Goods will only be shipped after payment has been received and confirmed.

6. Delivery

Estimated delivery time is stated upon ordering.

For complete bicycles (custom-built products), the estimated delivery time is normally 3–5 weeks from the time of order.

The delivery time is indicative and may vary based on:

  • component availability
  • production and assembly
  • transport and logistics

The seller will inform the buyer if significant delays occur.

Delivery is considered complete when the item has been taken over by the buyer or the buyer's representative.

7. Risk of the Goods

The risk for the goods passes to the buyer when the goods are delivered in accordance with section 6.

The seller is responsible for the goods until delivery.

8. Right of Withdrawal

Standard Goods

The buyer has a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act.

Exception – Custom-Built Bicycles

For complete bicycles that are:

  • customized
  • built according to the customer's specifications

the right of withdrawal does not apply, cf. Section 22 of the Right of Withdrawal Act.

9. Delay and Non-Delivery

In case of delay, the rules of the Consumer Purchases Act apply.

Under certain circumstances, the buyer may withhold the purchase price, demand fulfillment, cancel the purchase, and/or claim compensation.

10. Defects and Complaints

The buyer must complain within a reasonable time after a defect is discovered.

Complaint deadlines:

  • 2 years for ordinary goods
  • 5 years for goods intended to last significantly longer

In the event of an approved complaint, the buyer may demand rectification, redelivery, price reduction, cancellation, or compensation in accordance with the law.

Complaints should be reported in writing.

11. Warranty

Any warranty is given in addition to statutory rights and does not limit the right to complain.

12. Product Liability and Import

Norvelo AS is the importer of the products and is considered the responsible party in accordance with applicable regulations.

This means that:

  • the products must meet relevant requirements in the EU/EEA
  • Norvelo AS is responsible for the product's safety

The buyer is obliged to use the product in accordance with its intended use and ensure necessary maintenance.

13. Wear and Tear, Maintenance, and Use

Bicycles and components are subject to natural wear and tear during use. The following are not considered defects:

  • Wear on drivetrain (chain, cassette, chainrings)
  • Brake pads and brake discs
  • Bearings (wheels, bottom bracket, headset)
  • Tires and inner tubes
  • Cosmetic wear and tear from normal use

The right to complain does not cover faults caused by:

  • improper or negligent use
  • lack of maintenance
  • assembly or adjustment performed by a third party
  • external influence (falls, crashes, transport after delivery)

The buyer is responsible for necessary maintenance and correct use.

14. Personal Data

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable privacy legislation and is only used to complete the purchase.

15. Dispute Resolution

Disputes shall be sought resolved amicably.

If this is not successful, the buyer may contact the Consumer Council or use a relevant complaints body.

Sincerely,

Henrik Norderhaug ,
